Text Box: In this section of my website I will describe the experiences with the cichlids I keep at the moment. After keeping both, Malawi & Tanganyika cichlids for the last 35 years, I have focused mainly on the cichlids from Lake Tanganyika. Especially the genus Tropheus and Petrochromis. In my opinion, these are the most interesting cichlids to watch and to keep. By given my breeding groups an environment as close as possible to their natural habitat, I get the benefit of studying their natural behavior as much as this is possible in a confined aquarium. I believe that it is the responsibility of each serious hobbyist to share their experiences in order to help those who have just started. We need to help and encourage the beginners to keep the hobby alive.
